Sugar Skull Photoshoot Pictures (Picture Heavy!)




Hey everyone! I am SOOOOO excited to share these photos with you! You might remember during halloween that I mentioned I was doing a photoshoot for my dia de los muertos sugar skull look. Well, I got the photos in today from the photographer and I can't even believe that these are of ME!

It was really different being in front of the camera! I spend my day's behind the camera doing makeup on other people, so this was really fun!

Thank you so much to Amanda of R.I.Studios Photography for shooting some AMAZING pics! I am just speechless!!

Oh, and Thank You to my girly Monica for driving me across town while I was in my full makeup...we didn't want to have anyone get in a wreck seeing me driving down the street a week before Halloween looking like that! lol

Halloween Costume Ideas 2011 : Frankie Stein of Monster High Kids Costume


Hey Everyone! This costume wraps up my Halloween tutorials for 2011! I decided to do a tutorial with my daughter since she is going to be Frankie Stein for Halloween. This is one of the characters from Monster High. Below you will find our tutorial, pictures, and a list of the products that we used...Have an AMAZING Halloween! TUTORIAL:



PICTURES:









PRODUCTS USED:
- NYX Ultra pearl mania in Jade Green
- White face powder (I used the white out of the Coastal Scents Contour and Blush Palette)
- ELF eyeshadow primer
- Purple eyeshadows (The ones I used were from the ELF quads in Punk Funk, Drama {the black}, and Silver Lining)
- Black eyeliner (one that is very smooth, I used Essence gloss black)
- Masacara (non waterproof! I used L'Oreal clean definition telescopic in black)
- ELF quad day 2 night or any dark brown for eyebrows
- NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in black bean (or liner for stitch)
- Red Lipstick (Retro Red from NYC)
- Clear gloss of choice

OPTIONAL
- Glitter Glue or Glitter Liner
- Purple Cosmetic Glitter

Halloween Costume Ideas 2011 : Peacock number two!

I promised another peacock look and here it is! This one is still dramatic, but not as much as the previous one! :) I hope you all enjoy it....oh, and I totally forgot to take pictures, because...well, I suck! lol But there is one on the video!

- thick concealer or glue to cover eyebrow

Halloween Costume Ideas 2011 : Dia De Los Muertos (day of the dead) Sugar Skull



Hey everyone! WOW, I am so freaking excited about sharing this tutorial with you all! So this is my actual costume I am wearing this year, a Dia De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, Sugar Skull. I had an amazing time doing the tutorial, but I also had the BEST TIME doing a Photoshoot for the look with an AMAZING photographer! As the photos trickle in, I promise to post them!! But I couldn't wait to show it to you all!! So if you would like to see how this super awesome look is accomplished, then watch the tutorial below, and for a list of the products I used, look just below the tutorial! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! :)

TUTORIAL:



PRODUCTS USED:
- NYC jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk or any white face paint
- white powder or eyeshadow (I used mine our of my coastal scents contour and blush palette)
- NYX jumbo e/s pencil in black bean
- black eyeshadow of choice (I used the one out of my origianl 88 palette)
- white eyeshadow of choice (I used the white in the ELF quad in Drama)
- NYX ultra pearl mania shadow in Torquise Pearl
- Mixing medium such as MAC Fix+ or ELF Studio setting spray (or you can just use water)
- Black pencil eyeliner (use one that is very smoooth...I am using one from Essence)
- Lengthening Mascara (Maybelline XXL)
- Red eyeshadow (mine is out of the same 88 palette)
- Red eyeshadow base or Red lipstick (I used one from NYC)
- Glitter pen's in red and blue (you can also use sequins or rhinestones)
- Temporary Tattoo's (the ones I used are available at Walmart in the Halloween section for $1.98)

FOR THE HAIR:
For my hair, I slicked back the sides and did a very large poof in the front. Then I stuck several flowers on to one side.

FOR THE COSTUME:
Well, I wore a designer gown for my photoshoot! lol But for Halloween, make sure to wear black, lots of lace, and possibly a veil if your going as a widow.

Halloween Costumes 2011 : Mermaid



Hey Everyone! :) Today I am a Mermaid...I think it suits me...maybe Ursula can give me fins instead of legs (however I would NOT want to see me in nothing but sea shells!)

If you notice I am wearing an AMAZING SHARK TOOTH NECKLACE!!!! I had to scream that because...HELLO??? It's a shark tooth necklace, right?!?!?! - 88 palette (if you dont have the 88 palette you will need shadows in dark jade green, teal blue, medium toned blue, soft yellow)
- NYC liners in moody blue and teal
- NYC lashes (glamour)
- L'oreal clean definition telescopic mascara in black
- NYX ultra pearl mania pigment shadows in Tourquise Pearl, Jade pearl
- Fishnets
- Glitter Pens in green and blue
- ELF Mineral lipstick in Nicely Nude
- Clear Gloss of choice

For Hair:
- 1 in. curling iron
- waving iron
- hairspray

Halloween Costumes 2011 : Dramatic Peacock



Hey Everyone! So this look is one of my peacock looks for Halloween...I will have another peacock look that is not quite so dramatic coming up soon, but for those that want to go all out...this is the tutorial for you! - Revlon cream shadow in Va Va Va Bloom
- 88 Palette (For Eyes: darkest purple, medium purple, bright pink, cream. For Face: turquoise)

- ELF e/s quad in Blue Moon (navy blue)
- NYX jumbo e/s pencil in Black Bean
- NYX jumbo e/s pencil in Milk
- ELF eyeliner pen in Plum

- Eyelash glue (I'm using Revlon)

Halloween 2011 Costumes : The Dark Fairy



The classic play on good vs. evil....you have seen my GOOD FAIRY....now comes the dark side! (I feel like I should be saying, Luke...I am your FAH-THA! Come to the daaahhhkkkk side)

So if you want to be a more sexy, dark version of a fairy, then check out the tutorial below as well as pictures of the final look and a list of products that I used:

TUTORIAL:

PRODUCTS USED:
EYES/FACE/LIPS -
- ELF eyelid primer
- ELF all over cover stick's in Toffee and Ivory
- NYX jumbo e/s stick in Black Bean
- ELF e/s quads in Drama (black) and Butternut
- ELF eyeliner in brown (this is the regular eyeliner, not the eyeliner pen)
- Mascara (I used the Almay one click mascara)
- Brown Eyeliner (I used one from LA colors)
- NYX glitter palette in fresh greens (for gold glitter)
- Cosmetic Glitter in Darkest Blue and Chocolate and 14 carat gold (make sure you are using cosmetic grade glitter that is very finely milled! Again, NYX has some great ones as does MAC, I bought mine at a cosmetic supply store)
- Glitter Pen in Gold
- Black Eyeliner for Lips (I used my Urban Decay 24/7 liner in zero)
- NYX round lipstick in Metis
- Clear Gloss (any brand will work)

NAILS -
- Wet n' Wild polish in Black
- NYC in White Lights Glitter
- L.A.Colors Art Deco striper in Gold Glitter

HAIR -
Same as the good fairy, hair curled with a 1 inch curling iron, then pulled through a bit, LOTS of teasing at top to make it look fuller and more sexy!

Halloween 2011 Costumes : The Good Fairy




EEEEEKKKK!!! I am having THE BEST TIME making these Halloween Tutorials! I hope you are all enjoying them as well!! Today is the Good Fairy! I also have a Dark Fairy coming up, so don't miss that!!

This look is beautiful, light, and glittery! Mine is purple, but if your costume is pink, blue, green, whatever...just do it in your colors! :)

PRODUCTS:

EYES/FACE/LIPS:
- ELF eyelid primer
- NYX jumbo e/s pencil in milk
- ELF e/s quads in Silver Lining and Punk Funk
- ELF waterproof eyeliner pen in Plum
- Glitter Liner in silver (any brand will work, NYX has some great ones!)
- Cosmetic Glitter in reflects purple and lilac/violet (make sure you are using cosmetic grade glitter that is very finely milled! Again, NYX has some great ones as does MAC, I bought mine at a cosmetic supply store)
- Swavarski Crystals (or any sort of small crystal's)
- Lash Glue (any brand that you like, Im using Revlon)
- L'Oreal Mascara in Clean Definition Telescopic
- NYC lipstick in Chiffon
- Clear Gloss (any brand that you like)

NAILS:
- Taupe from Forever 21
- NYC White Lights Glitter
- L.A. Colors Art Deco striper in Silver Glitter

HAIR:
Curl with a 1in. curling iron and pull curls through a bit

Halloween 2011 Costumes : Vampire / Dark Gypsy



Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeennnnnn! Another costume look for you, actually this is two looks in one! This is my Vampire/Dark Gypsy look! Very easy and PERFECT for last minute! Check out the tutorial and pictures, and then I will list all of the products I used below as well as Costume Options! :)

The wig is called the "Lucious Layers Wig", $5.99 @ Walmart

For Gypsy - peasant top and layered skirt, scarfs for waist and head, lots of gold jewelry

For Vampire - all black head to toe, chunky godthic style jewelry, fangs ($4 @ Walmart)

Halloween 2011 Costumes : Ke$ha


Hello my beauty bargainistas! Another Halloween look that is SO easy and cheap to do! This time it's Ke$ha! I love her style because it's a kind of "I dont give a damn what you think, Im gonna do what I want" sort of vibe...a girl after my own heart! lol But this is a look you can only pull off on Halloween, which I LOVE! So grab some glitter and show people that We R who We R! :)

- Eye Primer of choice
- NYX Jump Eyeshadow Pencil in Black Bean
- Black E/S (I used the one from the ELF quad in Drama)
- Shimmery Beige e/s (I used one from the 88 neutral palette)
- Glitter liner (optional, you can also use glitter glue or spirit gum)
- Loose Silver Micro-glitter
- Swarovski Crystals
- Lash Glue
- Ardelle #137 lashes
- L'Oreal Voluminous mascara in Carbon Black
- Clear Lipgloss of choice

For hair:
I crimped my hair with a three barrel waving iron and messed it up with Johnathan brand "Dirt" molding paste
to make it look a little dirty

For costume:
wear lots of sparkle!
