Today is the BIG day!! (plus Look of the Day for 2/1/10)

So, LOTS of info in one post, but that's totally OK with me! :) (seriously, that took me like 5 minutes to type that sentence because I am so tired my hands can't hit the right keys! hehe)

Anyway...so TODAY IS THE DAY of my big blog changes! The new address will be going up tonight, as well as some design changes! I can't wait to see what you all think!! (make sure to let me know in the comments when it's all finished!)

Look of the Day: December 20th

Went to church today and had a BEAUTIFUL service! :)

I used a new palette that I will have a video on very soon with my Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero and covergirl lashblast mascara for the eyes. On the cheeks I have Rimmel Spice Nude (I think thats the name! lol) and the lips is Revlon cream gloss in Nude.

Look of the Day: December 6th : UT Grads then Football fever! OOTD

So, yesterday, my sister, Brittany, graduated with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood education with Honors from the University of Texas!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo proud of her! :)
So I got to wear two outfits yesterday, one for the graduation itself and one for the party we had after.


Here is what I wore:

Heels with Bows: borrowed from my sister
(I actually had on other shoes, and I took flats with me in case my feet hurt. So, naturally, my sisters feet started hurting, so I wore her heels, she wore my flats, and I took off my HIGH heels {5 inches ladies!!} to be more comfortable! lol)
Pea coat: Burlington, $59.99 (have to spend good money on a coat!)
Necklace: Kohl's, $1.99

Channeling my inner 1950's!

So if you know me at all, you know I LOVE all things retro, especially the 1940's and 1950's fashion! I love the hair, the makeup, the clothing...the simple values of life!
So for church on Sunday, I channeled my inner 50's housewife (minus the skirt and the husband!) for this modern play on retro style.

What I am wearing:
leopard cardi: Target via Goodwill $4.99
ruffle shirt: Target $4.99
jeans: Thrifted $7.99
shoes: Thrifted $3.99
necklace: It's my moms...real pearls! FANCY!!!
headband: Claires, but I am not sure how much it was :(

And for my hair, I just teased up the entire top of my head starting at my bangs back, then smoothed it out with a smoothing brush and twisted in the back. Secure with a clip and bobby pins if needed...then slip on your oh-so-cute headband!

Bump it up!

So for church today I decided that I wanted to do my hair a certain way using my bumpits. (if you don't know what a bumpit is, you can search it on google. They are little plastic things you stick in your hair to help keep the volume without having to do a ton of teasing)
I have had these for a long time, but I never take the time to play around with them. And since my hair is finally getting long enough to do something with it, I decided to use two of them, the small one in my bangs and a regular size in the second bump, to give some funky volume a la modern day Audrey Hepburn! :)

Necklace: Kohls $6.99 (I actually gave this to my mom for Mothers day and she loves it so much that I took the tags off of it this morning! lol So I wore it for the first time! hehe)
