Look of the Day: December 3rd

Today's look was inspired by my hair clip! I got it at Charming Charlie a while back for a steal and I have never worn it! So I saw it last night and thought, what the heck, let's give it a shot! :)

What I am wearing:
Bird T-shirt: Old Navy, $3.99
Sweater thingy: Goodwill $3.99
"Leather" jacket: Target $9.98***
(see the story below for this awesome deal!!)
Scarf: I don't remember where I got this, but if I had to guess it would be like Old Navy or somewhere like that!
Jeans: Lane Bryant...same ones I wore the other day but couldn't remember where they came from either! (looks like I loose my mind when I wear these, I can't remember where anything comes from!! lol)
Shoes: Goodwill, $3.99
Hair Clip: Charming Charlie, $4.95

Here is a closeup of my makeup and the clip!

***ok, so here is the story about the jacket!
I bought this jacket at a Target on black Friday for $19.98, a little over what I usually allow myself to spend on something, but I really loved the fit and had been looking for a motorcycle-esque leather type jacket for a while. (some description, huh? lol)

The next day I was in another Target buying a cook wear set that was on the 2 day black Friday sale and it was the only one in Austin...beside the point!...and I saw the same jacket hanging on the rack. God must have spoken to me, because I checked the tag...$9.98!!!! So I purchased that one and took the other one back!

So just another great reason to shop multiple target locations, because they all price differently, and you never know what you might find! :)

Channeling my inner 1950's!

So if you know me at all, you know I LOVE all things retro, especially the 1940's and 1950's fashion! I love the hair, the makeup, the clothing...the simple values of life!
So for church on Sunday, I channeled my inner 50's housewife (minus the skirt and the husband!) for this modern play on retro style.

What I am wearing:
leopard cardi: Target via Goodwill $4.99
ruffle shirt: Target $4.99
jeans: Thrifted $7.99
shoes: Thrifted $3.99
necklace: It's my moms...real pearls! FANCY!!!
headband: Claires, but I am not sure how much it was :(

And for my hair, I just teased up the entire top of my head starting at my bangs back, then smoothed it out with a smoothing brush and twisted in the back. Secure with a clip and bobby pins if needed...then slip on your oh-so-cute headband!
